As you will have noticed, no one can login to BC2, the master server has packed in and DICE are trying to get it back up.
Please don't open support tickets as we can't control the plasma backend, service will be back to normal soon.
R5 will be rolled out in the morning, i will mail again when its ready so you have the option of installing early. |

well ive played for around 20 mins...........crashed to desktop.......and now i cant connect to ea.......some things never get better .....they just change

I get the crash to desktop too hippo but second try at the game seems to last a fair bit longer.
I think you are running windows 7 hippo? You need to go to the bc game folder and right click the updater and the bc2 exe, go to the compatibilty tab and tick the run as administrator boxes for both of em.

cheers matey ....already done that......been playing for an hour or so now.....missing some comms which is a killer.....seems like another single player on a multi player format thus far......can only play via play now cant select from the browser yet.......

A few more things I needed to do for win 7 64 with uac on was...
turn off the read only check box for the bc2 folder so that the pb updates worked and the server favourites / history tabs did what theyre supposed to do.
Standard things to do with all games on win 7 these days |
